Game Porting & Co-Development Studio

General Arcade is a porting house and co-development studio founded in 2013, with offices in Singapore and Malaysia. We are a team of 50 specialists focused on bringing games to new platforms and helping developers ship high-quality titles across console, PC and mobile.

Over the years, we have built a reputation for handling technically demanding projects. Our team has worked on porting and co-development for titles including Baldur’s Gate 3, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Project Zomboid, Ion Fury, Alien Isolation, Control Ultimate Edition, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Hotline Miami Collection, and many more.

What We Do

Our core expertise lies in cross-platform game porting. We take games built for one platform and bring them to others — whether that means moving a PC title to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox, or adapting a console game for mobile and new-generation hardware. We handle the full lifecycle: engine analysis, platform SDK integration, performance optimization, certification and post-launch support.

Beyond porting, we provide co-development services where we embed with a client’s team to accelerate production. This includes performance optimization, network implementation with cross-play support, SDK and DRM integration, tools development, and reverse engineering of legacy codebases.

Our Approach

We work with a wide range of engines and technologies. Our team has deep experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, custom C++ engines, and proprietary frameworks. We have developed our own console runtime technology that enables interpreted languages like JavaScript and Python to run on platforms that prohibit JIT compilation — opening the door for games built with non-traditional tech stacks to ship on consoles.

Every project begins with a thorough technical assessment. We evaluate the codebase, identify platform-specific challenges, and provide a realistic scope and timeline before any work begins. Our engineers are experienced with the certification requirements of Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and mobile storefronts, which helps us avoid common pitfalls that delay releases.

Our Clients

We have provided services for Larian Studios, 505 Games, Square Enix, Capcom, SEGA, From Software, Devolver Digital, GOG, TinyBuild, The Indie Stone, Blue Manchu, Abstraction, and many others. Our clients range from AAA publishers to independent studios, and we take the same care with every project regardless of scale.

Our Team

Our 50-person team includes software engineers, QA specialists, producers and technical artists spread across three offices. Many of our engineers have 10+ years of experience in game development, with backgrounds spanning console platform development, graphics programming, networking, and low-level systems work.

General Arcade was founded by Gennadii Potapov (CEO) and Sergei Shutin (CTO). The company has shipped hundreds of titles across all major platforms since its founding in 2013.
