General Arcade works across a wide range of engines and technology stacks. Our engineers have hands-on experience porting and co-developing with C/C++ proprietary engines, Unity, Unreal Engine, MonoGame/FNA/XNA, GameMaker Studio, Cocos2D, LibGDX, and PhyreEngine — as well as custom in-house frameworks built on top of these foundations.
For proprietary and legacy engines, we conduct a full technical assessment before work begins: analysing the codebase, identifying platform-specific dependencies, and mapping out the integration effort for each target SDK. This up-front analysis lets us give accurate scopes and avoid surprises mid-project.
We have also developed our own console runtime technology that allows interpreted-language games — built with RPG Maker, Ren’Py, Pygame, and similar frameworks — to run on platforms that prohibit JIT compilation. This opens console publishing to a much wider range of developers.
